In Syd and I’s first book, Make Life Beautiful, we share the origin story of Studio McGee and the lessons we learned along the way. At the release of Make Life Beautiful, we shared that the journey wasn’t always smooth, but as we grew together as partners in business and in life, we learned how to find the bright spots in our everyday. That was in 2020, and as I look back on it now it’s astounding to measure our growth, even knowing that Syd and I lived it.
If you read Make Life Beautiful, you know that our mission has always been just that, to make life beautiful for ourselves and those around us. It seems fitting that the follow-up to the story of our journey into the design world should be my first design book, The Art of Home, 400+ pages showcasing all of the beautiful spaces I’ve designed alongside my incredible team, and this time, sharing my personal design lessons, not our business lessons, I’ve learned along the way. I cannot wait to hear all the stories of inspiration gleaned from this coffee table tome.
