Black Pepper Buns from Food Wars! These are seriously good and not overly complicated to make. I suggest making any filling you want, but the filling used in Food Wars is epic. The spicy and tangy flavors play really well together.
This recipe makes about 5-6 Buns depending on Size and a little left over filling that I used for sausage patties.
Pork filling:
12oz ground pork
1T Five Spice
1T schezuan peppercorn
1 egg
1 C sliced green onions
1t salt
1t black pepper
Dough:
2t active dry yeast bloomed with 4oz of warm water
7oz Cold water
3C all-purpose flour
1T Sesame Oil
10g sugar
5g salt
