The Style Council on Saturday Live 1985 – Speak Like A Child + You’re The Best Thing

Performance of two songs on 1985 TV show, Saturday Live, a short-lived attempt at a UK version of the US mammoth, Saturday Night Live but featuring UK comedians instead.

Not sure why Lenny Henry felt the need to join in on ‘You’re The Best Thing’ although he did also make an unexpected appearance on Our Favourite Shop providing vocals for ‘The Stand-up Comic’s Instructions’, so I guess he and Paul Weller definitely had some connection around this time.
