Here’s a quick guide to classic Morris & MG cars that were on display at the NEC classic car show in November 2021. I had just the one day to get around all the halls, so apologies if I missed out anyone’s Morris or MG, but hopefully this selection will prove of interest.
Morrises and MGs of the 1920s through to the 1980s feature here, Morris first, followed by MG – which got its name from Morris Garages by all accounts, so both firms have links going way back to the beginning of the MG company.
Morris is represented in this NEC car show video by cars such as the Morris Minor (pre- and post-war), the 8, Empire Oxford, 10/4 saloon, Six saloon of the 1950s (MO shape), Marina, Ital, 1800 & 2200 saloons, and various Morris Commercials including the JB. Pre- and post-war MGs, sports and saloons, follow on from the Morrises, with MGBs, MGCs, T-Types, Midgets, Y-Type saloons and later examples (eg MG Metro, Maestro Turbo, ZT 260, RV8, 1100, 1300) and others included.
