How to Run Windows Games on OS X

Gaming on a Mac has always been a challenge. Titles are often released on the platform in a delayed fashion, or not at all. In recent years, this has started to turn around, though not at a pace that would truly convince a gamer to make the switch.

Thankfully, with Boot Camp and virtualization tools like Parallels and VMWare Fusion, you can play Windows games on a Mac. Boot Camp allows you to put a native installation of Windows on the Mac which works very well and allows you to do pretty much everything the hardware would allow any other PC to do, but it doesn’t give you access to your OS X programs at the same time. Parallels and VMWare Fusion work with many games and allow you to run them as if they were OS X programs.
