The Honda Civic Type R crushes the competition, and all for less money. At $35,000, you might not expect the Civic to be faster than the more expensive Ford Focus RS, VW Golf R, and even the limited edition Subaru WRX STI Type RA, but it is. Whether it’s acceleration, track times, braking distances, useable cargo space, or efficiency, the Civic Type R puts down incredible numbers.
