Col. Charles McGee was laid to rest in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery on June 17, 2022.
A Tuskegee Airman, McGee flew a total of 409 combat missions during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
He retired from military service in 1973 after holding several command positions in the Air Force. His decorations included the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Star.
