MG Gloster launch in India is expected around Diwali
Following the Hector and the ZS EV, MG will introduce it’s flagship SUV for India — the Gloster. This full-size SUV will be available in six- as well as seven-seater configurations.
In terms of size, it’s larger than already large SUVs such as Toyota’s Fortuner and Ford’s Endeavour.
In India, the MG Gloster will be offered with a diesel engine only. Lower variants will get a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel with 163PS/375Nm, whereas the top-spec variant will get a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel with 218PS and 480Nm on tap. There’s no manual transmission on offer; both engines will be available with an 8-speed automatic transmission only.
MG Gloster Level 1 Autonomous features: adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision detection, blind spot detection and automatic emergency braking. MG Gloster features include projector headlamps, panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital driver’s display, powered front seats, powered tailgate and more.
