The way Silicon Power has designed this drive is with additional casing, and a suspension system to absorb the shock of falls. This particular drive has also passed the IPX4 water resistance levels so you don’t need to worry about the drive if it happens to get wet in the rain. Connectivity for the drive uses a straight through USB 3.0 connection, what this allows for is transfers without bottlenecks.
