In a news conference at the Ottawa International Airport, leaders from Canada’s tourism, hotel, and airline sectors discuss the impact of COVID-19 public-health measures on Canada’s travel and hospitality industries. They are calling on the federal government to release a comprehensive reopening plan to lift border restrictions, and to implement a vaccination certification program to allow entry to international travelers. Speaking with reporters are the following members of the Canadian Travel and Tourism Roundtable: Perrin Beatty (president and CEO, Canadian Chamber of Commerce); Beth Potter (president and CEO, Tourism Industry Association of Canada); Susie Grynol (president and CEO, Hotel Association of Canada); Daniel-Robert Gooch (president, Canadian Airports Council); and Mike McNaney (president and CEO, National Airlines Council of Canada).
